FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions and Regulations at Lake Placid Village

Check in: Check-in is scheduled from 4:00 PM onwards; if you arrive earlier, you can immediately start your vacation by going to the beach, dining at the restaurant, or taking a break at the bar.

Arrival time at the facility: It is not possible to arrive at the facility before 11:00 AM.

Where do I park my car if I arrive before 4:00 PM? The car can be left in the parking lot; you can decide whether to unload your luggage by hand or wait until 4:00 PM to approach your accommodation with the car.

Where do I leave the car after unloading the luggage? The car must be stored in the parking lot, and it will no longer be possible to approach the accommodation with it.

Why can't I enter with the car if I arrive before 4:00 PM or during the week? This decision is due to safety requirements for all guests and management needs for the facility, which has staff who need to move with our electric vehicles for work and who would not be able to perform their tasks easily with cars circulating in the facility before 4:00 PM and generally during the week.

Check out: Check-out is to be done by no later than 10:00 AM.

Parking: Upon arrival, you can park your car in the designated parking area; when your accommodation unit is handed over to you, you can approach it with the car to easily unload your luggage and then return it to the parking area (see previous points). During your stay, for the safety of everyone, especially the little ones, it is not allowed for cars to circulate in the village area. The parking lot is located in a designated area.

How does the parking gate work? The parking gate is always closed, except during check-in/out days. During the week, you can enter and exit at your leisure thanks to the dedicated app 1Control, which will serve as a remote control.

Pedestrian gate: For the safety of the little ones, the pedestrian gate is always closed; you will be provided with a specific app to open it at check-in 1Control.

What do I find inside my accommodation? The accommodation is equipped with a fridge with a freezer compartment, LCD TV, bathroom with shower, pillows, air conditioning, a furnished veranda with a private barbecue, broom, dustpan, bucket, mop, drying rack, containers for waste sorting, basin.

What won't I find? There are no tablecloths and dish towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, charcoal and barbecue equipment, hairdryer, soaps.

Is the kitchen equipped? When you arrive at your accommodation unit, you will find glasses, cups, small cups, cutlery, and plates. The cookware will be provided starting from 4:00 PM in a container. Upon your departure, you must return the equipment found in the house to the designated compartments, cleaned, and the cookware in the container so that our staff can collect it, check it, wash it in a high-temperature dishwasher, and deliver it to the next family.

What does the cookware kit include? The kit includes: 1 moka pot, 2 salad bowls, 1 pot for boiling water, 2 frying pans, 1 sauce pot, 1 cutting board, 1 corkscrew, 1 bread knife, set of 3 ladles, 1 trivet, 1 colander.

Is there a bidet? The bidet is present in Mobil Home Maya and Iris.

How big is the fridge? In Mobile Home Miriam, the fridge is 100 liters; in Mobil Home Maya and Iris, the fridge is column-style, standard size.

Is there entertainment? Yes, entertainment is available; a club card is not required.

Is the village far from the sea? No, we are directly on the sea, with direct access to the beach without crossing the road. Just take a walk inside the village!

Are sunbeds and umbrellas included? Yes, in every rate the beach service is included (1 umbrella and 2 sunbeds), in case of purchasing a second and other umbrellas, they will be provided with 1 sunbed and 1 deck chair

Can I choose where to have my umbrella? Of course, if you let us know at the time of booking that you want an umbrella in a specific row, a 15% discount on various supplements will be reserved for you

How are the umbrellas assigned? The umbrellas are assigned by management based on organizational needs, in every quote an umbrella and two sunbeds are always included.
-To ensure you end up in a specific row, a supplement is required. You can find all the supplements listed in your quote

Can I go to the beach when I arrive?: Yes, upon your arrival you can already use the beach service, on the check-in day the umbrellas are free, in the evening you will receive a WhatsApp with what your umbrella will be for the rest of the week.

Why can't I know what my umbrella is upon arrival?: For management and organizational needs of the beach plan

Can I always have the same umbrella? Yes, it is possible to choose to have the umbrella in a fixed position. A supplement will be required based on the chosen row.

If I haven't booked a specific umbrella and my stay lasts more than a week, how does it work?: If your stay is longer than a week and you haven't booked your umbrella at the time of booking, at the change of the week there may correspond a change of umbrella (even in rows behind those where you were already positioned)

If my furry friend needs to go to the bathroom as soon as I arrive or during the stay, what should I do? In our parking lot, there is a dog area where you can take your friend to do his business. If you know it's time for him to go to the bathroom, try to avoid the areas in front of the reception, bar, park, and Mobil Home. If he happens to have an accident, it's not a big deal, but as per civil living norms, dog waste must be always collected and thrown in the appropriate bins.

What are the rules to follow with my furry friend inside the village?: In general, your furry friend must always be on a leash for his safety and that of others.
We understand that a new environment full of stimuli like our village can be overwhelming, so we ask you to always have a muzzle on hand to use if necessary. The dog should never be left alone unless he is used to it and it is not a source of stress and anxiety that could disturb the peace of the village. If the dog shows repeated aggressive behavior, management reserves the right, after a warning, to remove the dog and his family from the village for everyone's safety without issuing refunds. We recommend, if you don't have one yet, multi-risk insurance for any eventuality.

And at the beach? The same rules apply as above.

And at the restaurant? Your friend is welcome in our restaurant as long as the environment does not cause him stress. Upon your arrival, our restaurant staff does not yet know your furry friend's habits and nature, so we ask you to cooperate if a table move becomes necessary. We kindly ask you to position your friend in such a way that he does not become an obstacle for our restaurant staff to pass

Where can I take my four-legged friend within the village? Your four-legged friend is welcome at our facility. He can follow you on a leash in all areas of the village, including the bar and restaurant, he can remain free in our dog area, in the dog agility park dedicated to him, as well as in the external enclosure of your MH. He can also follow you to the beach, in the designated area for families with pets

Can the dog swim in the lake? And in the sea?? We advise our clients against letting their dog enter the lake as there are no shores and it is very difficult to climb back out; moreover, the lake is steep and immediately deep. At the sea, your friend will be able to enter the water according to the annual regulations of our municipality.

What is the cost of bringing the dog? In the accommodations dedicated to furry friends, the first dog is always included; from the second dog onwards, a supplement of € 10.00 per night is required. (In the Iris Boat, the supplement starts from the first dog)

What is the cost of bringing the cat? For the cat, the cost is € 7.00 per night.

Is there entertainment for the dog? Yes, during your stay there will be free meetings with expert dog trainers who will help you and your dog learn new things about each other; you will also have the opportunity to meet Nicolas, our canine osteopath.

Is the lake fenced? Yes, our lake is fenced

Is it possible to fish in the lake? No, for the sake of our beloved fish we do not allow fishing anymore. You can watch them swim freely and occasionally give them some breadcrumbs that they will gladly eat

Is the lake freshwater or saltwater? Ours is a freshwater lake

What animals are there? There are carp, perch, amur, black bass, catfish as well as the usual lake fauna (turtles, frogs, toads)

Can you swim in the lake? No

Are there mosquitoes? We take care of the water surface and banks throughout the year and regularly carry out mosquito treatments during the summer season; we want to specify that this treatment is calibrated to the weight of the mosquito and is therefore not harmful to beings that weigh more than it. You may notice that after the treatment, butterflies, dragonflies, ladybugs, bees will still be present... but not mosquitoes.

What should I do if the mosquito treatment is carried out during my stay? The day before, we inform all our guests. We carry out the treatment starting from 6 in the morning and it lasts about a couple of hours. As a precaution, we generally recommend bringing in towels and personal effects, as well as the bowls of any furry friends. Once the treatment machine has passed, we recommend waiting 10 minutes before going out so that the volatile product settles.

Is the treatment dangerous for my children or my dog? No, but it is advisable to follow the established rules

Is the environment humid? The environment is neither excessively dry nor excessively humid; the brackish air from our sea manages to perfectly balance everything, creating a microclimate that settles a couple of degrees below the external temperature of the village

Is the catering service open to everyone? The catering service is open to all guests of the village, even for those who do not choose a half-board treatment (BREAKFAST - DINNER) but is closed to people outside the village

What does the restaurant offer? The restaurant offers a continental buffet breakfast and dinner served at the table with a choice between meat menu and fish menu of the day

Do you also do takeout? Yes

What does the Half Board treatment include? The Half Board treatment includes continental breakfast, dinner with a choice from the daily proposals: 1 meat menu, 1 fish menu (including in the meal water, house wine, draft soft drink, dessert and coffee) not included are bottled soft drinks, bottled wine, other alcoholic drinks and bitters. What is not included MUST BE PAID AT THE END OF THE MEAL or charged to the room

If I am on half board how and when do I choose the menu? The day before for the following day you will be given a sheet with the choices for the dinner menu.

What are the breakfast hours and what does it include? Breakfast can be consumed from 8 to 10:30 in the restaurant hall. If you are very lazy let us know what to set aside for you. Breakfast is a sweet and savory buffet and drinks and coffee are included. If you have any special requests let us know and we will try to accommodate you as much as possible.

If I am not on half board or B&B can I access the restaurant hall for a fee? : Yes, the cost for entry to the breakfast hall is  8.00 per person per night (single entry also available) children 0-3 free

What are the dinner hours? Dinner is from 19:30 to 21:00. You can also choose the takeout option to be picked up by and NOT LATER than 19:30

Where do you eat? You eat in our restaurant hall with a lake view. We also have 2 balconies on the lake for romantic dining for 2 or a maximum of 3.

I always want the same table! : We are sorry to inform you that, as much as our staff tries to assign you the same table, there may be variations in position ESPECIALLY DURING PEAK TIMES, to ensure that all guests can enjoy the various positions and views within the hall

What do the menus include? Our menus are different every day, we offer different meat and fish menus made with quality raw materials

How are the meals distributed? Breakfast is a buffet while dinner is served

On the day of arrival at the facility can I arrive before 16:00 and eat? Our restaurant is closed for lunch but the beach kiosk has various sandwich options, pizzas, etc..

How far is the sea? Our village is directly on the sea with direct access to the beach.

How far is it from the town center? We are practically in the center and everything is easily reachable on foot or by bike: inside the village there is the fizzy water house to provide still and sparkling cold water, nearby we have a bakery, pharmacy, post office, tobacco shop, and minimarket. On Sundays and Thursdays there is the town market reachable on foot.

How to reach us:

-By car we are about 4 km from the Città Sant'Angelo-Pescara nord highway exit, just follow the signs for Silvi Marina.
-By train the main station is Pescara, from there you can take a taxi, a train, or a bus to Silvi Marina, we are 5 km from the Silvi train station and 1 km from the nearest bus stop.
-By plane the nearest airport is Pescara at 16.5 km and the easiest way to reach us from there is by taxi.
